Jetro Cash & Carry Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to help operate the produce department, ensuring product quality and inventory accuracy while supporting staff and daily operations to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

In this role you will supervise team members, maintain freshness, and support merchandising, signing, and displays to keep the department organized and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in produce, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations.
• Ability to identify product quality issues and maintain freshness standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure produce is handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards.

• Supervise and support department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and operational standards.
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays to maintain an organized and appealing department.
• Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the produce department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotation
• Ensure all produce is handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Supervise and support department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and operational standards

• Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership or supervisory support role
• Familiarity with perishable inventory and food safety standards
• Background in high-volume retail or wholesale environments

Work Environment / Expectations

Primarily warehouse or retail environment with temperature-controlled areas. Requires standing, walking, and handling products for extended periods. May require schedule flexibility based on department needs.
