The Assistant Produce Manager at Jetro Restaurant Depot oversees daily operations of the produce department, ensuring quality, freshness, and accurate inventory.

You will supervise department staff, support merchandising and displays, and uphold food safety and company standards to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

This role is a hands-on, fast-paced position in a warehouse/retail setting with schedule flexibility based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in produce, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations
• Strong understanding of product handling, rotation, and stock management
• Ability to identify product quality issues and maintain freshness standards
• Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the produce department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotation
• Ensure all produce is handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Supervise and support department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and operational standards
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays to maintain an organized and appealing department
• Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies and regulations

Work Environment / Expectations
