Overview

The Produce Department Assistant Manager assists the Produce Department Manager with ensuring the successful operation of the produce department.

Duties include:

• accurate recordkeeping
• customer service
• employee relations
• expense control, inventory, & shrink management
• stocking, and controlling freshness by rotating/removing out-of-date merchandise

Responsible for directing staff when in charge of the department to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.
