Job summary

KIPP Texas is seeking an Assistant Principal of Student Support to lead multilingual program implementation and MTSS supports across campus, ensuring emergent bilingual students access rigorous curriculum in both languages.

The APSS will coach teachers, oversee TELPAS coordination and language testing, monitor student progress with data, and foster a joyful, inclusive culture aligned with KIPP Texas values.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required).
• Primary - Texas Bilingual Teacher Certification (required).
• Secondary - Texas ELAR and ESL Teacher Certification (required).
• 2 years of teaching experience (required).
• 1 year teacher leader experience with a record of results (required).

Responsibilities

• Model Implementation: drive multilingual program models with fidelity.
• Strategy Supervision: coach teachers on language instruction strategies with ongoing feedback.
• Content-Based Language Instruction: develop PD on content-based language instruction.
• Curriculum Internalization: align standards with diverse bilingual learners.
• MTSS integration: embed language supports in Tier 1 and interventions.
• TELPAS Coordination: lead TELPAS data-informed MTSS planning.
