Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution with a major concentration in secondary school administration.
  • A valid state certificate to serve as a secondary school administrator.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience as a secondary classroom instructor.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a broad spectrum of individuals and organizations.
Performance Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understands and implements the terms of the Master contracts.
  • Interprets and implements Board of Education policies and administrative rules and regulations relating to the Beecher Community School District.
  • Assists in the preparation of teachers’ handbooks and the student handbook.
  • Assists in the evaluation of staff personnel.
  • Attends school sponsored activities.
  • Supervises the preparation and use of records and data related to the discipline and attendance of each student; implements plans for enforcement of attendance policies and procedures, including boundary exceptions.
  • Assists the principal in the administration of the school and serves as principal when the principal is absent.
  • Assists in the planning and supervision of fire and tornado drills as part of the emergency program for the school building.
  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of a plan for crisis situations.
  • Identifies, coordinates, and provides leadership in establishing a student conduct code and procedure; keeps records of any disciplinary action in accordance with due process rights of students.
  • Determines eligibility of students for state and local athletics, provides crowd control procedures, and coordinates box office and gate workers for middle school athletic events.
  • Stays informed of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional publications, and discussing problems with others in the field and university personnel; attends county, state, and national conferences.
  • Serves with community, school personnel, and student groups as requested by the Principal of the Middle School in advancing educational objectives.
  • Performs such other tasks and assumes responsibilities as the Principal of the Middle School may from time to time assign.
  • Remains free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout employment within the District.
Requirements

Annual Salary

$70,000 - $80,000. Exceptional administrative fringe benefits available.
