Job summary

The Assistant Principal at Tennyson Center for Children provides instructional leadership and supports curriculum implementation within our day treatment and educational programs across Colorado. This role reports to the Principal and helps manage daily school operations to meet program goals.

Qualifications include a Colorado principal license and a Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement, plus a Master's in education or approved administrator program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in education or administrator preparation.
• Colorado principal license or eligibility.
• Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Pre-employment drug test and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and support school-wide programs.
• Assist in curriculum selection and implementation.
• Supervise instructional staff and organize daily operations.
• Coordinate PBIS implementation and staff development.
• Oversee hiring, orientation, and supervision of staff.
• Organize parent meetings and school events.
• Manage IC including courses, enrollment, grades, and reports.

Education

Master's degree in education or completion of Colorado approved principal program

Colorado principal license

Colorado teaching license with Special Education Endorsement

Current Colorado driver's license
