Job summary

High School Assistant Principal Position Description

This Act 93 position will be available immediately. The salary and benefits are in accordance with the current Act 93 compensation plan.

Candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania Administrative Certificate for this assignment.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong commitment to public school administration.

Other qualifications include the following:

1. Knowledge of and experience with supervision and evaluation of professional and support staff.
2. Strong academic background, deep knowledge of the PA Academic Standards and District curriculum, and skill in data analysis of student performance information.
3. Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with day to day building operations, scheduling, and facilitating meetings.
4. Experience/orientation for Special Education/IEP process and requirements.
5. Knowledge of current trends in curriculum, instruction and assessment as well as program evaluation.
6. Strong technology background which supports student performance and professional growth.
7. Demonstrated leadership experience as outlined in the Framework for Leadership (PDE).
