Machine Operator (Assistant Press Operator)

Lakeside Book Company is looking for skilled machine operators to assist us in running the latest technology in high-speed offset printing presses. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help craft books that reach readers across the country and learn a skilled trade that will be in high demand for as long as people seek knowledge.

Starting Rate: $21.41 an hour for day shift

Work Hours: 4-crew schedule working on 50% of the days in a year: three 12-hour days in week 1 and four 12-hour days in week 2. Every other weekend is a three-day weekend. (3p-3a). 8 hours every pay at 1.5x pay!

Location: We are located at 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, MO 65066.

Responsibilities:

• Make-ready, run, and maintain an offset printing press
• Insert blankets and plates
• Assist the Press Operator by making register and color adjustments
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
• Receive training to help advance your career

Previous press experience is preferred. We will provide additional training to help you succeed.
