Job Title:

Assistant Flexographic Press Operator

Reports To:

Printing Supervisor

Position Overview:

Performs manual and machine tasks related to the setup, maintenance, and operation of a flexographic press under supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Study job specifications and organize job schedules
  • Assist with make-ready, sleeve change, register controls, die change, and ink change
  • Inspect production samples for quality
  • Monitor robot functions and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2000 procedures
  • Minimize downtime and perform preventative maintenance
  • Ensure supplies are ready for each job
Job Specifications:
  • Make-ready printing plates and ink stations
  • Disassemble and reassemble chamber blades safely
  • Achieve color targets
  • Identify printing defects
Education / Experience:

High School diploma or GED preferred; manufacturing and printing experience are a plus but not required.

Communication Skills:

Effective verbal and written communication, active listening, professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude are required.

Safety:

Compliance with safety policies, PPE use including hearing protection, safety glasses, and cut-proof gloves is mandatory.
