Job summary

The Goddard School in Vinings, GA is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

You will help develop children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills while collaborating with a supportive team. This role offers a starting rate of $17 per hour and a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children.
• Assist in communicating with parents about their child's progress and activities.

• Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.

Job Requirements and Compensation

• Must be available Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in this particular age group
• Starting rate of pay is $17 per hour
