Job summary

Creative Minds Academy LLC is hiring for a full-time position working with children ages 18 months to 3 years, with flexible split-shift scheduling available. You will work alongside experienced educators in a supportive classroom environment, helping guide young children through their crucial early developmental stages.

Montessori experience is not required—we provide complete training and professional development in the Montessori Method.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (bilingual candidates are warmly welcomed).
• Pass a Washington State DCYF background check.
• Register with Washington State MERIT and possess a current STARS ID.
• Certifications: CPR & First Aid, Washington State Food Worker Card.
• Current negative TB test or chest X-ray as required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stay active throughout the day.
• Genuine interest in working with toddlers and supporting their development.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing Montessori curriculum with practical life activities and hands-on learning.
• Create a warm, engaging, safe classroom; prepare materials and maintain cleanliness.
• Supervise children indoors and on the playground for safety.
• Prepare and serve snacks per health and safety guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Follow Washington State licensing requirements and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Support: Assist teachers in implementing a developmentally appropriate Montessori curriculum, including practical life activities, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning.
• Classroom Care & Environment: Help create a warm, engaging, and safe classroom. Prepare learning materials, organize spaces, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Supervision & Safety: Monitor children indoors and on the playground, ensuring a safe environment at all times.
• Daily Routines: Prepare and serve snacks in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Relationships: Build positive, respectful connections with children, families, and fellow team members while maintaining a professional, collaborative attitude.
• Compliance: Follow Washington State licensing requirements and applicable health and safety regulations.
