Crievewood United Methodist Child Care, a year-round child care program, seeks an experienced early childhood educator to nurture and guide the developmental and learning experiences of young children. Especially candidates who have experience with preschool age children are encouraged to apply.

Approximately 25 hours per week, with the potential for more hours during school breaks and summer. Hours are generally M-F 10:00-4:00 with a 1-hour break from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.

Duties include:

• Execute age-appropriate daily learning activities planned by the lead teacher.
• Assist the lead teacher in daily routines.
• Fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Tennessee Department of Human Resources.
• Communicate effectively with families at pick-up time.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have or be able to obtain Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification, and pass a fingerprint background check.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be able to kneel, stoop, sit on the floor, and stand for long periods while engaging with children.

Nice to Haves:

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
