• 2A Boiler Operator's license from Minnesota is required.
• High school diploma or GED is a must.
• Ability to operate a front-end loader and bobcat proficiently.

Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Koda Energy is seeking an Assistant Power Plant Operator to support the Power Plant Operator in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. The role involves rotating shifts with varying schedules and reports directly to the Power Plant Operator.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating and maintaining mechanical equipment such as steam turbines, generators, air compressors, motors, and pumps
• Maintaining a safe work environment with proper PPE and safety training
• Effective communication with the Power Plant Operator
• Recording and analyzing data like pressures, temperatures, and flows
• Keeping accurate records, both written and electronic
• Conducting plant inspections and walkdowns
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
• Analyzing water chemistry
• Loading ash boxes for operational flexibility
• Maintaining cleanliness through good housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Currently holding a 2A Boiler Operator’s license from Minnesota
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to operate a front-end loader and bobcat proficiently
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule
