Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its project operations team.

You will support planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects, working closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to deliver safe, on-time results in line with drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, AutoCAD proficiency, OSHA 30 certification, strong

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of plumbing/HVAC design codes.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction activities with field staff, project manager, and subcontractors using approved drawings and documents.
• Support the Project Manager to ensure effective performance.
• Execute work according to shop drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Assist the technical team with issues as directed by senior management.
• Monitor progress and submit site reports per the project reporting plan.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and report progress and issues.
• Maintain site management information systems and daily records.
• Provide regular feedback on project status to senior management.
• Review drawings for accuracy and use current revisions only.
