Job summary

Kent Worldwide is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our Bolingbrook, IL facility. You will lead Production Supervisors, manage schedules, and drive safety, quality, and cost-efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Quality and Maintenance, implementing lean improvements, maintaining records, and mentoring staff. A Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years in food/bev manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, business or related field (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in food or beverage manufacturing, preferably in dry blending or powder-based production
• Proven leadership and experience managing Production Supervisors
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations
• Proficient in ERP systems (AX/D365) and MS Office suite

Responsibilities

• Oversee production process scheduling and execution
• Lead Production and Sanitation Supervisors; coach and develop team
• Collaborate with Quality to meet safety and quality standards
• Implement lean manufacturing to cut waste and costs
• Maintain production records, reports, and audits
• Monitor raw material use and coordinate with procurement on inventory
• Coordinate plant shutdowns with maintenance
• Ensure OSHA, FDA, GMP compliance
• Stay current on operations management trends
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding new department members
• Identify training needs and deliver development
