We are looking for an Assistant General Manager, based in Palmetto, to drive continuous improvement and optimize all operational processes. About the Role

How you will contribute

• Ensure that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded within company guidelines.
• Deliver quarterly presentations to customer senior management regarding our scorecard and initiatives.
• Participate in customer meetings, e.g., 9:30 am support for Customer strategic objectives.
• Communicate with the customer and demonstrate initiatives supporting continuous improvement.

Meet company objectives concerning Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment.

• Present quarterly updates to syncreon senior management on plant objectives and initiatives.
• Establish a 5-year/contract life business plan, annual budgets, and ensure targets are met.
• Implement local initiatives to ensure plant progression in all areas.

Adopt continuous improvement practices within the workplace.

• Plan and execute lean manufacturing concepts.
• Ensure plant productivity tasks are planned and executed annually and ongoing.
• Prioritize activities focused on waste elimination across operations.

Organizational Strengthening

• Build a stronger salaried team capable of leading the hourly workforce into future demands.
• Enhance employee relations and morale through active participation and behavioral discipline.
• Improve communication at all organizational levels.

Work with Trade Unions (if applicable).

• Identify and eliminate past practices impacting the plant's financial health.
• Collaborate with union personnel to improve operations while minimizing workforce disruption.
• Incorporate union representatives into the business to maximize their contribution.

New Business Development

• Collaborate with business development and account management to identify opportunities within the plant's capabilities.
• Participate in activities related to potential new business and profitability.
• Maintain the plant’s appeal to outsiders and potential customers.

Be a Corporate Citizen and create a positive external image.

• Ensure syncreon.US, Inc. is viewed as a positive community presence and a good employer.
• Increase positive exposure to maximize growth opportunities.
• Engage with local industry groups to learn and adapt best practices.

Quality and Environmental Management Systems

• Support ISO 14001 as an active management team member and ensure direct reports comply.
• Participate in ISO TS 16949 and ISO 14001 reviews.

Your Key Qualifications

• A college or university degree related to manufacturing and/or an MBA is preferred.
• Experience managing at various levels in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Background in automotive manufacturing/logistics is preferred.
• Experience in Tier 1 operations is beneficial.
• Skills in production, materials, and quality control are advantageous.
