The Assistant Plant Manager is a leadership role supporting the operations of a sophisticated 3PL Service for a technology client.

Are you equipped to lead a team in a highly complex technology environment? We seek an Assistant General Manager based in Palmetto to drive continuous improvement and operational optimization. If planning, organizing, directing, and managing daily operations to surpass customer expectations is your forte, this is your opportunity!

About The Role
How you will contribute
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations within company guidelines.
  • Deliver quarterly presentations to customer senior management regarding scorecards and initiatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings, e.g., 9:30 am support for strategic objectives.
  • Communicate initiatives supporting continuous improvement.

Achieve company goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment.

  • Present quarterly to syncreon senior management on plant objectives and initiatives.
  • Develop a 5-year/business contract plan, manage budgets, and meet targets.
  • Implement local initiatives for plant advancement.

Embrace continuous improvement in the workplace.

  • Plan and implement lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Ensure productivity goals are met annually and continuously.
  • Focus on waste elimination across operations.

Organizational Development

  • Strengthen the salaried team to lead the hourly workforce effectively.
  • Enhance employee relations and morale through active participation and behavioral discipline.
  • Improve communication at all organizational levels.

Work with Trade Unions (if applicable).

  • Identify and eliminate practices impacting the plant's financial health.
  • Collaborate with union personnel to improve operations while managing workforce impact.
  • Integrate union representatives into business processes to meet objectives.

Drive new business initiatives.

  • Partner with business development to identify opportunities within the plant's capabilities.
  • Participate in activities related to business growth and profitability.
  • Maintain a plant environment attractive to potential customers.

Enhance external image and community relations.

  • Ensure syncreon.US, Inc. is viewed positively within the community and as a good employer.
  • Increase positive exposure and adapt learnings from community interactions.

Support Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

  • Participate actively in supporting ISO 14001 and ensure compliance.
  • Engage in ISO TS 16949 and ISO 14001 reviews.
Your Key Qualifications
  • A relevant college or university degree, MBA preferred.
  • Management experience at various levels or locations.
  • Background in manufacturing/logistics, especially in the automotive industry, is preferred.
  • Experience in Tier 1 operations is beneficial.
  • Strong production, materials, and quality control background.
