The Production Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production, safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This position oversees production teams, manages schedules and resources, monitors performance, and drives continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced production environment and a strong background in operational excellence and process improvement.
Lead and manage daily manufacturing and production operations.
Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery requirements.
Manage, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and employee development.
Monitor production performance, KPIs, downtime, labor efficiency, quality, and output.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, regulatory, and company requirements.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to resolve production issues.
Support new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.
Optimize labor, equipment, materials, and production capacity.
Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
Reduce downtime and improve overall operational efficiency and equipment utilization.
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of production/manufacturing management experience.
Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and manufacturing safety.
Experience with production scheduling, labor planning, and resource allocation.
Experience managing manufacturing KPIs and production metrics.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP or production management systems preferred.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred.
Experience managing production budgets and controlling operating costs preferred.
Master's degree/MBA or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
