Ada County is seeking a Planner/Zoning staffer to perform varied planning and zoning assignments, with direct public interaction and written reporting. You will prepare notices, maps, and supporting materials, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced county environment.
Experience with GIS, map production, and clerical recordkeeping is valued. The role supports Development Services in Ada County and requires strong communication skills.
$23.61 - $27.00/Hour DOE
The advertised wage reflects a proposed county wide across-the-board wage adjustment pending Ada County FY27 Budget Adoption. Should the final adopted budget approve a lesser adjustment, the wage rate for this position will be revised accordingly.

Performs varied planning and zoning assignments relating to development plan reviews and technical analysis. Works closely and directly with the public, produces written reports.
Performs varied moderately complex work under general supervision and according to pre-defined guidelines. Work may be reviewed by senior members of the Planning division for accuracy.
