Job summary

Baptist Health - Union City is seeking a Physician Assistant to treat and manage patient health problems in primary care settings, and to participate in research, consultation, and patient advocacy.

The role requires one year of primary care experience, completion of an accredited PA program, and a current state license with prescriptive authority; strong computer literacy and BLS are expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary care setting.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program.
• Current state license and prescriptive authority (or eligibility).
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care within scope of practice of the physician assistant utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Uses prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations.
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Supports lifelong learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
