We are seeking an Assistant Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy department and provide exceptional patient care.

Assistant Pharmacy Manager Responsibilities

• Dedicated to the overall pharmacy department success, including strategy execution, staff motivation, and setting priorities to maximize contribution.
• Provide best‑in‑class pharmacy service to patients, empower staff, build personalized relationships, and promote customer loyalty.
• Mentor, train, and develop a high‑functioning pharmacy team, providing developmental opportunities and challenging assignments.
• Inspire the team to execute programs and processes, foster accountability, and champion innovation.
• Manage department performance, including scheduling and task assignments to meet operational activities.
• Ensure continuous improvement, maintain a competitive advantage by understanding sales and service metrics, and make sound business decisions in the pharmacist‑in‑charge’s absence.
• Act as an expert on the pharmacy technology system for routine and complex prescription processing.
• Excel in managing medication on‑hand inventory, mentor others on best practices, and maximize sales while minimizing shrink.
• Proactively advance pharmacy clinical initiatives, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations.
• Participate locally in community pharmacist events to meet health and preventative care needs.
• Maintain a flexible work‑week schedule to meet customer needs.
• Assist in all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company‑sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Be an immunizing pharmacist meeting state requirements or scheduled to become an immunizer in the next training cycle.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret instructions and solve problems.
• Numerical and financial aptitude.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
