Job summary

Plano ISD is seeking a part-time Educational Aide to assist teachers in preparing and managing daily education activities and administrative tasks within Physical Education. The role involves supporting students individually or in small groups, organizing games, and supervising playground activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalency and a valid Texas educational aide certificate, with some experience working with students.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing and planning daily schedules and lesson plans.
• Work with individual students or small groups in physical education activities.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests or assignments.
• Organize games and supervise the playground; lead recreational and physical activities.
• Inform the teacher of any special needs or problems of students.
• Assist in inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Participate in staff development, meetings, and special events as needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Follow Plano ISD rules and directives from supervisors.
• Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist the teacher in preparing and planning the daily schedules and help execute the daily lesson plan
• Work with individual students or small groups in physical education activities assigned by the teacher
• Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or assignments
• Assist in organizing games and supervising the playground, lead various recreational and physical activities
• Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students
• Assist in inventory, care and maintenance of equipment
• Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports
• Participate in staff development training programs, staff meetings, and special events, as needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers
• Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from superiors
• Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor
• Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor
