Job Summary (Essential Functions)

The Assistant Pastry Cook supports the Executive Pastry Chef in preparing all baked goods according to club recipes and standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the bakery station.

Job Tasks/Duties

• Assists in the preparation of baked goods including breads, pastries, and desserts
• Opens the bakery, lights ovens (if needed), and turns on the proof box
• Pulls necessary ingredients and ensures they are at room temperature when needed
• Follows portion control and presentation standards
• Maintains and breaks down the pastry station at the end of each shift
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations and storage areas
• Requisitions supplies as needed and notifies the Executive Pastry Chef of potential product shortages
• Adheres to club recipes and high sanitary standards
• Covers, dates, and stores all reusable leftovers neatly
• Maintains a professional appearance and practices proper personal hygiene
• Assumes scheduling responsibilities in the Executive Pastry Chef’s absence
• Performs other duties as assigned
