Job summary

The Club at Bella Collina LLC in Florida is seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef to support the Pastry Chef in creating an exceptional selection of desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods for both daily service and special events.

You will decorate pastries and custom cakes, ensure flavor and visual appeal, monitor freshness, and help manage inventory while upholding the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
• Strong pastry, baking, and dessert production techniques.
• Proficiency in cake decorating and finishing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency.
• Working knowledge of sanitation principles and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of seasonal desserts and specialty menu offerings.
• Decorate pastries, cakes, and desserts with various icings, toppings, and finishing techniques for exceptional presentation.
• Assist in designing and decorating custom cakes per member and guest specifications.
• Ensure quality, freshness, and consistency of all baked goods and desserts.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and notify Pastry Chef when supplies are low.
• Maintain a clean, organized pastry station and adhere to health and sanitation standards.
• Assist in in-house cake and bread program production and enhancement.
• Support dessert production for banquets, restaurant service, and special events.
