Job summary

ZT Automotive Group is seeking an Assistant Parts Manager in Charlotte to lead day-to-day parts operations alongside the Parts Manager. You will own counter execution, inventory accuracy, and gross retention across retail and internal service sales, with a clear path to department management.

The role involves supervising counter staff, building schedules, coaching the team, and ensuring policy adherence while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive dealership parts experience.
• 1+ year in a lead, supervisory, or senior counter role.
• Working knowledge of a dealership DMS (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar).
• Understanding of inventory control, stock ordering, and parts pricing.
• Strong communication skills with customers, technicians, and service advisors.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise counter staff, drivers, and shipping/receiving alongside the Parts Manager.
• Build daily schedules and assign work to cover retail and service counters.
• Train and coach team members on process, product knowledge, and customer service.
• Enforce department policies, pricing, and discount authorization limits.
