The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands Division, is recruiting to fill three Seasonal Full Time Assistant Park Ranger positions, located at Sebago Lake State Park.

Job Description

This is maintenance and personal services work providing services to park users at a state park or day-use area. Responsibilities may include directing and overseeing a small crew of maintenance and operations personnel. Work is performed under general supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to follow directions.

Licensing/Registration/Certification

Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license is required prior to attaining permanent status in this class.

Additional Information
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older (Lifeguards must be 16+)
  • Must be U.S. Citizens or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Housing is provided at specific locations; generally not available at other parks.
  • Most positions require 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Uniforms are provided.
