Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is seeking a dedicated painter for the 12-Hour Continental Day Shift in Gainesville, FL. You will stage and mix paint, prepare for application, and support line maintenance while upholding safety standards.

The starting pay is $25.25/hr with benefits and growth opportunities, including moving into a Painter role within six months. Hydro promotes equal opportunity and a safe, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of paint processes.
• Must have Mobile Equipment Certification or the ability to attain this certification through Hydro training.
• Must be able to move into Painter role within six months.
• Must be able to pass pulmonary/respiratory testing.
• Must push/pull and maneuver heavy drums (up to 250 pounds) of paint with a partner.

Responsibilities

• Staging and mixing of paint for application.
• Back-up painter when necessary.
• Route maintenance of paint line equipment.
• Support PM Requirements.
• Complete check sheets.
• Preparation of paint for application.
• Physical and visual checks on metal entering and exiting paint room.
• Managing hazardous waste according to state and federal regulations.
• Operation of Forklift.
