Summary

Michigan Technological University is seeking a Tenure-track facultyposition in Management at the rank of Assistant or AssociateProfessor for our College of Business department, with ananticipated start date of Fall 2027. We seek candidates withdemonstrated expertise in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and theability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in StrategicManagement, Entrepreneurship, International Management, and otherrelated areas consistent with the needs of the College. Applicantsmust have earned a doctoral degree in Management or a closelyrelated discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution by the timeof appointment. Candidates applying for the rank of AssociateProfessor must possess a record of scholarly achievement, includingpublications and other accomplishments in high-quality journals,that warrants appointment at the associate professor level.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Develop and sustain a vigorous research program with nationalvisibility.

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures

Required Experience

• Evidence of research activity leading to publication of scholarlywork in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals appropriate to thefield of study commensurate with rank.
• Evidence of the ability to independently teach managementcourses.

Desirable Education and/or Experience

• PhD in Strategic Management/International Management/Entrepreneurship from an AACSB-accredited school.
• Documented publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journalsin management commensurate with the rank.
• Documented teaching experience in an institution of highereducation with excellent teaching evaluations commensurate with therank.
• Documented industry experience.
• Documented experience in securing research grants.
• Documented service contributions at the college, university, ornational level.
• Evidence of serving as a committee member or chair of doctoraldissertations.

• Evidence of knowledge of the AACSB and its role in businesscolleges and schools
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching,program growth, and student success.

• The ability to contribute effectively to undergraduate andgraduate teaching with a student-centric, learner-oriented, experiential approach to instruction in residential and onlinemodalities.

• Documented broad knowledge and skills across businessdisciplines.
• Demonstrated success in, or potential future contributions to,working with people with a wide variety of backgrounds andviewpoints.

Language, Mathematics and/or Reasoning Skills

• Proficiency in English to teach and conduct research inEnglish.
