Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking an Assistant Operator to help set up lines, adjust equipment, and assist with wrapping and moving rolls through the production area. The role involves following operator instructions, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting material handling tasks in a manufacturing environment.

The position requires performing various duties as needed, including quality checks, safe operation of cranes/forklifts, and adherence to safety rules to meet production targets.

Responsibilities

• Work as an assistant, taking instructions from the operator and performing any combination of incidental tasks.
• Inspect work in process for conformance to quality standards advising operator of any deficiencies.
• Continuously clean machine, floors and work areas.
• Unload, load and feed raw materials into the machine.
• Assist the QA Packer as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper levels of adhesive in the hot melt glue tank.
• Learn whatever possible to satisfy requirements of operator.
• Perform operator duties in Dri Loc operator’s absences. See Operator Job Description / General Responsibilities.
• Operate Job Cranes and Forklifts in safe manner.
• Wear safety equipment and obey safety rules.
• Satisfy production requirements.
• May work in other areas throughout the plant.
• And / or other duties as may be assigned

Job description

Assistant operator Set up line (change over) set slitters, separators, adjust hammer mill doors and adjusting die head to prevent overspray. Help keep rolls supplied to Fan Fold lines (moving rolls off packing table). Assistants will also help wrap rolls when line is running Roll-Stock. This consist of picking up rolls off packing table and placing them on a table to be wrapped. After rolls are wrapped, rolls are placed on a pallet to be placed in the warehouse. Assistant will be responsible for wrapping the pallet, so Material Handler can move the pallet. End of shift duties will require cleaning work areas.
