Job summary

Haynes Furniture and The Dump in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead daily workflow, drive efficiency, and maintain 5S standards across Delivery, Receiving, and Fulfillment teams.

You will develop short-term and long-term goals with managers, supervise staff, ensure safety, inspections, and accurate invoicing while coordinating with HR and leadership.

Responsible for the overall warehouse efficiency and flow. Provide leadership and direction of quality to reach required goals and objectives in all departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop short-term and long-term goals in conjunction with all Managers to meet and exceed standards of performance for all operations. Monitor all working areas, (Delivery, CPU, Receiving, Floor Crew, Furniture Tech), continually throughout the work day. Hold all department managers accountable for production goals, handling audits, area audits, 5S compliance, target planning and new hire training of their team members. Uphold and adhere to all safety policies, company policies supporting the company’s vision and goals at all times. Take charge of all warehouse responsibilities when the Operations Manager is absent. Cross train in all departments Must be flexible with work schedules and be available, as needed, to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, with or without advance notices

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures daily workload is completed efficiently, must be able to adjust the work flow to meet the needs of business. Identify and develop key employees for upward movement. Responsible for timely, accurately and completion of CPU and Delivery Prep invoicing. Responsible for all order picker lift inspections being completed daily by the Operators Team Track and document all attendance issues in compliance with the employee policy manual. Must listen and respond appropriately to customers, customer pickup issues and employee concerns. Uphold all terms and conditions in regards to returns, exchanges and restock fees as set by corporate. Look for process improvements throughout the facility; communicate recommendations with the Operations Manager. Ensure Maintenance items and safety concerns are communicated to the pertinent parties ensuring prompt resolution. Assist with hiring qualified applicants, performing orientation and new hire training of all new hires, Perform annual and semi-annual evaluation of all direct reports. Creates schedules to ensure maximum use of hours through forecasting and target planning. Responsible for all time off request of both hourly associates and reporting management team. Holds associates accountable when violations of production, safety and/or policies occur. Communicate promptly with Human resources and the Operations Manager. Hold weekly meetings with reporting management team to review past and upcoming challenges, staffing needs, production and target planning Holds associates accountable when violations of production, safety and/or policies occur. Issue area/aisle audits to be performed by reporting Managers Ensures housekeeping in all departments to include departmental area audits are kept up to date Works directly with Store Department Managers for all issues and areas of concern and is part of the solution. Works with all departments as a team: establishes synergy between all departments Any other duties or responsibilities as required by management.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS:

Strong initiative skills, needs little supervision, display a positive up-beat attitude, ability to supervise people, organized, reliable, have good customer service skills, ability to communica te effectively with associates and all levels of management. Must have a proven track record for associate accountability. Must be able to work weekends and Holidays.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Education: High School diploma or GED Experience: 5 Years’ experience in a warehouse environment as a manager. Skills: Team building skills; Good sound judgment and decision making abilities; able to read and count accurately, do simple math and write legibly, and must have basic knowledge of Word and Excel programs.
