Job summary

Haynes Furniture and The Dump in Houston, TX is hiring a Store Product Handling Specialist. This active, hands-on role supports receiving, organizing, and stocking merchandise to ensure products are ready for customers.

Base pay is $15.00 per hour; this is a full-time, non-exempt position with opportunities to grow within a family-owned company. You will handle items up to 50 lbs, use the warehouse system for inventory, and assist with customer pickup orders.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count inventory
• Basic computer and data entry skills

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming merchandise
• Stocking and locating products within the warehouse
• Inspecting merchandise for quality and proper labeling
• Maintaining accurate inventory records using our computer system
• Matching packing slips to purchase orders and reporting discrepancies
• Assisting with inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits
• Maintaining documentation for incoming shipments, transfers, and deliveries
• Supporting customer pickup orders and assisting customers when needed
• Operating warehouse equipment such as compactors/balers (training provided)
• Identifying and reporting damaged merchandise that may need repair or touch-ups
• Maintaining organized records and logs for productivity and receiving activity
• Supporting general warehouse operations and administrative tasks as needed

What You'll Do

This is anactive, hands-on role. Candidates must be comfortable with:

• Lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs alone(up to 100 lbs with assistance)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders throughout the shift
• Ability to work in heat and cold conditions
