Job summary

St. Louis Parking Company is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee event parking at venues like Centene Stadium, Enterprise Center, and Union Station.

You will supervise event staff, ensure facilities run smoothly, and coordinate staffing and rate structures for large events. The role supports the Asset Manager and Supervisory staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and delivering client expectations during high-volume events.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience in a supervisory or parking related role.
  • Established experience in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent oral (including formal presentations) and written communications and comprehension skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision to the event staff assigned to locations within his/her area of responsibility.
  • Ensures event operations are staffed, clean, stocked, signposted, and follow opening/closing procedures.
  • Creates and maintains calendar of events for Asset and Supervisory staff for upcoming 3 months.
  • Prepares staffing schedules and rate structures in advance for external events.
  • Maximizes opportunities with Asset Manager.
  • Creates/updates event schedule daily to track attendance.
  • Reviews event revenue and related paperwork for accuracy per event.
  • Ensures facilities operate per policy including revenue control and signage; staff are professional and well-versed in policies.
  • Coordinates self-parking operations for non-typical events.
  • Monitors staff performance before, during, and after events as per staff descriptions.
  • Documents incident forms and conducts investigations per Incident Report Procedures.
  • Drives to/from locations in personal vehicle and arranges vehicle maintenance.

Job Description

The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the event parking operations of a portfolio of surface lots during events including but not limited to the following: Centene Stadium, Enterprise Center, St. Louis Union Station, parades, runs and other large events. The Assistant Operations Manager also provides shift coverage support to the Asset Manager and Supervisory staff in overseeing the day-to-day operations. This position delivers company; client and customer expectations by ensuring the locations under his/her direct supervision are operating in accordance to company policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides direct supervision to the event staff assigned to locations within his/her area of responsibility
  • Ensures the event operations within his/her area of responsibility perform in accordance with company policy by ensuring each location is properly staffed, maintains cleanliness standards, has required supplies and proper signage, checking automated pay machines, and petty cash and follows set opening and closing procedures
  • Creates and maintains calendar of events including at minimum the upcoming 3 months for use by Asset and Supervisory staff. Calendar of events to include all events which require additional staffing or adjustments in posted parking rates.
  • Ensures Asset and Supervisory staff are prepared for all external events by reviewing staffing schedules and rate structures in advance.
  • Works with the Asset Manager to ensure opportunities are maximized
  • Create and updates event schedule daily to track employee attendance
  • Reviews event revenue collected, the associated paperwork and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness on a per event basis
  • Ensures all facilities within his/her area of responsibility operate in accordance with company policy including revenue control, equipment maintenance, proper and accurate signage and that front line workforce staff is professional, friendly and well versed in company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, ticket handling, producing deposit procedures, and flagging
  • Coordinate all aspects of execution of all self-parking operations associated with non-typical one-off events
  • Ensuring event staff members are performing job duties before, during, and after events as outlined in the event staff job descriptions
  • Documenting and submitting Incident Forms and conducting incident investigations that occur at the locations as outlined in the company's Incident Report Procedures
  • Driving to and from locations in personal vehicle throughout the entire shift including arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle.
