Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations at multiple parking locations in Chicago, reporting to the Area Manager. You will lead on-site teams, ensure 24/7 service standards, manage payroll sign-off, and collaborate with HR to ensure wage and hour compliance.

The role requires shift availability (Thu–Mon, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM), a focus on safety, guest experience, and operational excellence, with opportunities for growth and benefits including 401k and

  • 2+ years in a Management role.
  • Must be flexible to schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Experience with financial statements, P&L and budgeting is a plus.
  • Ability to lead and develop on-site teams and ensure wage/hour compliance.

The Spirit Of The Position

Assistant Facilities Manager oversees the operations of a location(s), under the direction of the Area Manager, to ensure 24/7 professional parking management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Assistant Facilities Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned location(s).

Pay Range - $21 - $22 per hour

Schedule: Thursday – Monday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Off - Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Principal Job Duties
  • Lead, direct, and develop a team of employees at parking location(s).
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of on-site employees.
  • Identifying high-potential employees to support the organization’s continued growth.
  • Responsible for payroll processing; ensuring sign-off on hours promptly; collaborating with the local payroll department to ensure pay data is completed properly; working with Human Resources Business Partner to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.
  • Responsible for executing plans for the opening of newly assigned locations.
  • Responsible for developing client relationships and business retention.Organize and narrate parking management skills for Supervisors and Team Leads.Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements that are outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and our clients.Assist the region with the operations preparation for potential new locations, including rate surveys, ticket pulls, etc.Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual financial and operational reports as required.Ensuring that increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction are maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of our various clients.Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of Supervisors and Team Leads, which may require compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements.Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location(s).Participate in labor contract management if applicable to assigned location(s).Communicate with the local police department and emergency management teams regarding operations.Organize and manage the oversight of event operations within LAZ Parking.Be present for all events, as neededAssist with the monitoring, review, and analysis of the market rate structures.Implementation and completion of other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from assigned location(s).Additional related duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • 2+ years in a Management role.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Parking management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with financial statements/accounting, P&L reports, and budgeting.
  • Ability to be flexible in the schedule to meet operational needs. Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours.
