Bright Lights Book Project in Palmer, Alaska seeks a book-loving, hard-working part-time assistant to help meet its literacy mission by sorting, shelving, and organizing books for events. The role also involves preparing books for shipping to villages and assisting with outreach to communities.
The position includes volunteer coordination, training, and database/calendar management, plus occasional driving to deliver books using the organization’s vehicle.

Assist the BLBP Executive Director with various functions necessary to meet the mission of the organization. Such duties will primarily include the following:
This position is part-time, four hours per day five days per week from 1pm to 5pm – days can be Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. $20-$24 per hour.
Note: This position requires the ability to lift boxes of books up to 40 lbs.
