Position Summary
Assists Operations Manager with providing day to day direction of Sand & Gravel operations by helping with planning and organizing projects and materials, overseeing and/or supervising other employees, and assuring adherence with safety policies and standards relative to Sand and Gravel operations. The employee will be on-call for emergency situations and be within 30 minutes of the operation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities: May oversee and/or supervise non-exempt technical employees when needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems with approval from General Manager.
