The Assistant Nurse Manager has twenty four-hour accountabilities for the operational management of the Operating Room. Implicit in this statement is indicated managerial responsibility for the supervision, direction and support of the nursing staff in that unit to meet the needs of the Patient/Unit/Hospital.

All unit staff; RNs, LPNs, ORTs, O.R. Assistants, O.R. Specialty Coordinators, Secretary/OR Material Managers, Schedulers, and other personnel
Physicians, Administration, Department Head, Hospital Staff, Patients, Families, Visitors and Vendors, OR Materials Manager and other hospital staff.
EDUCATION:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.Baccalaureate degree required or currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate program
EXPERIENCE:Three to fiveyears' clinical/leadership Operating Roomexperience.
LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS:Current license to practice professional nursing in New Jersey. BSN Preferred, I.V. Certification per hospital Policy CPR and ACLS required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:Exposure to communicable diseases, blood and blood products, illness, confused and/or combative patients, hazardous chemicals, stressful situations, X-rays and fluoroscopy, sharp instruments and needles, and electricity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Includesstanding, walking, lifting patients, pushing wheelchairs, beds, stretchers, occasionally must stoop, reach above head, carry medium to light equipment.
