Job summary

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for the Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (CVIMC) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This leadership role partners with the Nursing Division to guide daily operations, mentor staff, and uphold patient-centered care across two high-acuity cardiovascular units.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or MSN, has CVICU/CCU/CVIMC experience, and holds an active MD RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Experience in CVICU, CCU, or CVIMC is strongly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing and patient care delivery for CVIMC and CVICU.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee unit operations and staffing.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff to improve patient outcomes and care quality.
