Job summary

College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy in Kentucky seeks an experienced OR nurse leader to plan, integrate, and manage staff, supplies, and finances for safe patient care and staff development.

Role requires RN licensure, 3+ years OR experience, and BCLS; BSN preferred with CNOR/RNFA as an added advantage. The incumbent collaborates with the Nurse Manager and supports emergency preparedness and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years OR experience.
• Minimum of one year experience in specialty area.
• BCLS required.
• CNOR preferred.
• RNFA experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Plan, integrate, and evaluate staff, material, and fiscal resources for patient care in the OR.
• Facilitate, coordinate, and manage staff to achieve patient outcomes and professional development.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and ancillary departments.
• Apply problem-solving approaches to plan services and improve performance.
• Provide services considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs.
• Use equipment and supplies correctly and maintain safety and infection control measures.
• Teach, direct, advise, and inform others appropriately.
• Report and record information accurately and timely.
• Ensure critical services are provided during inclement weather or disasters.
• Rotate in clinical roles as needed and manage OR administrative call schedules.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager for staff evaluations and counseling as needed.

Overview

Position Summary:
Plans, integrates, controls, and evaluates staff, material, and fiscal resources required to provide
patient care in the Operating Room. Facilitates, coordinates, and manages staff, material, and
financial resources to achieve patient outcomes/care and to promote professional
development/practice of staff.

Responsibilities

2. Effectively and professionally communicates with other staff, physicians, shift supervisor and
ancillary departments
