**Job Description****$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine** **UW Medical Center–Montlake** has an outstanding opportunity for an **Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3** to join us in our **ICU Resource Department.** **WORK SCHEDULE:*** 90% FTE* Evenings and Night Shift* 36 hours/week**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Assists with RN3 operational and leadership duties as applicable* Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager, RN3 peers, and ICU Resource Team staff**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** The Resource Team assistant nurse manager assists the nurse manager to develop, maintain, and evaluate the ongoing operations of the Resource Team. This position is primarily dedicated to supporting and supervising the Critical Care Float Pool with secondary responsibility and supervision of the STAT RN Program and Vascular Access Team.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**1. Assists the nurse manager in the recruitment and staff selection process for Resource Team employees (primarily ICU RNs and other roles/positions/job classes ad hoc) 2. Collaborates with Staff Development liaison and Critical Care educator(s)/CNSs to develop individualized orientation action plans for new employees. 3. Coordinates orientation schedule for new staff including selection of appropriate units, and assignment of shifts. 4. Assists with planning and implementation of continuing education programs for Resource Team staff. 5. Designs and coordinates annual competency reviews for RN staff. 6. Provides feedback and guidance to staff; observes and reviews staff performance.
