Description

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse reporting to the unit director/manager, utilizing the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities during assigned shifts. The ANM supports planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the unit's services, providing managerial presence across all shifts. Responsibilities include managing clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and regulations, and collaborating to deliver quality patient care.

Under supervision of the unit director/manager, the ANM manages staffing, interprets policies and standards, and maintains clinical competence and certifications. The role involves participation in self-development and mentoring activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN).
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
• Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Shared Governance experience.
