Job summary

Providence Crisis Recovery Center seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead nursing teams on a shift, applying the nursing process to provide safe, high-quality patient care. You will support the director in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating unit services in a patient-focused environment.

The role requires a BSN or higher, Alaska RN license, and BLS certification on hire. Strong leadership and collaboration skills are expected in a fast-paced acute setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required or equivalent.
• Alaska RN license required upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire per American Heart Association.

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse reporting to the unit director/manager who utilizes the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift. The ANM is responsible for supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and providing managerial presence for all shifts.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and Graduate from School of Nursing (BS or BSN). Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
• Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

• Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
• Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Shared Governance experience.
