Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join the LDRP team. This full-time, night shift position supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations, staff development, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred if not in nursing), Texas nursing license, and BLS. Leadership experience and PI involvement are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Nursing if not in nursing.
• Current Texas license to practice professional nursing (or temporary/compact license).
• BLS certification required; professional certification in clinical area or management within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager in department leadership and daily operations.
• Coordinate care between units, nurses and providers; help with staffing plans.
• Mentor and coach staff; lead quality improvement initiatives.
