Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager I to oversee ambulatory operations in the Oncology department, working four days in Zephyrhills and one day in Land O' Lakes. The role supports staff development, quality patient care, and adherence to policies, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

The candidate will coordinate staffing, evaluate team performance, participate in hiring, and ensure compliance with certifications and education requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ASN in Nursing is required.
• Maintains current RN license in the State of Florida; BLS is required and ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC may be required depending on specialty.
• Two years’ RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates staffing needs and daily coverage to meet patient care requirements.
• Assists with clinical evaluations and conducts timely staff assessments.
• Participates in hiring and evaluation of team members.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Coordinates staffing needs and reviews coverage on a daily basis to meet patient care requirements.
• Assists with the clinical evaluation of team members, completes written clinical performance evaluations and conducts timely team member assessments.
• Participates in the hiring and evaluation of potential team members.
• Monitors compliance with certifications, licenses and required education for team members.
• Assists in the coordination and participates in the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies, procedures and standards of practice.
• Performs direct patient care activities as required to meet operational needs.
• Interfaces with patients and families to provide instruction, promote participation in patient care and to coordinate nursing activities.
• Plans and evaluates compliance with organizational, regulatory policies and procedures.
• Designs, implements and evaluates nursing models to improve the quality of service.
• Utilizes evidenced based, quality clinical nursing practice consistent with nursing research, organizational and national practice standards.

• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

• Able to interpret the appropriate information need to identif each patient’s requirements relative to their age specific needs and to provide nursing care needed as described in the unit/department’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing.

Licensure/Certification

• Maintains current RN license in the State of Florida.
• Maintains current BLS; as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, NALS, or TNCC is required.

Experience

• Two (2) years’ experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
