Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager I to lead ambulatory/physician office operations within the Oncology department. The role includes coordinating staffing, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring compliance with licensure and training requirements while delivering high-quality patient care.

(Field location involves Zephyrhills four days and one day in Land O' Lakes; full-time, weekday schedule.)

Qualifications

• RN license in the State of Florida.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates staffing needs and reviews coverage daily to meet patient care requirements.
• Performs and coordinates nursing evaluations and performance reviews for the team.
• Assists in hiring and evaluating potential team members.
• Ensures compliance with certifications, licenses and required education for staff.
• Delivers care in accordance with physician orders and policies; educates patients and families.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Coordinates staffing needs and reviews coverage on a daily basis to meet patient care requirements.
• Assists with the clinical evaluation of team members, completes written clinical performance evaluations and conducts timely team member assessments.
• Participates in the hiring and evaluation of potential team members.
• Monitors compliance with certifications, licenses and required education for team members.
• Assists in the coordination and participates in the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies, procedures and standards of practice.
• Performs direct patient care activities as required to meet operational needs.
• Interfaces with patients and families to provide instruction, promote participation in patient care and to coordinate nursing activities.
• Plans and evaluates compliance with organizational, regulatory policies and procedures.
• Designs, implements and evaluates nursing models to improve the quality of service.
• Utilizes evidenced based, quality clinical nursing practice consistent with nursing research, organizational and national practice standards.
• Expresses ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written communication to team members and groups.

• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

• Able to interpret the appropriate information need to identif each patient's requirements relative to their age specific needs and to provide nursing care needed as described in the unit/department's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing.

Licensure/Certification

• Maintains current RN license in the State of Florida.
• Maintains current BLS; as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, NALS, or TNCC is required.

Experience

• Two (2) years’ experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
