AdventHealth Home Health and Hospice Inc. in Altamonte Springs, FL seeks a Nurse Manager to lead nursing staff in home health and hospice programs.

You will oversee budgets, recruitment, coaching, performance evaluations, and payroll, ensuring safe, compliant patient care. The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and CHPN preferred; you will supervise schedules, participate in audits, and promote evidence-based practice with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing skills in compliance with ethical/legal parameters.

• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of third party reimbursement and cost containment.

Schedule

Full time Shift: 11am- 11pm. Weekend shift rotation every 3-4 weeks.

Location: Primary coverage is our Altamonte Springs Inpatient Unit with manager rotation to cover our Orlando and Kissimmee units if needed.

Job Description

Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions. Demonstrating critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Fostering a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully. Promoting evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Preparing the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing skills in the performance of duties in compliance with the legal and ethical parameters established and based on the level of education and certification attained by the employee. [Required]

Education

Field of Study

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, . An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator.

Work Experience

• 1+ supervisory [Required]

• 3+ skilled nursing experience including some hospice [Required]

Pay Range

Pay Range: $34.32 - $63.84
