Job summary

Legacy Silverton Medical Center, part of Legacy Health, is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in daily unit operations and staffing decisions. The role leads by example to uphold high-quality patient care and coordinates budgeting, education, and performance improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (MSN preferred), has at least two years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting, and demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Two years of supervisory/charge nurse experience in health care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong problem-solving and time-management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and managerial assistance to the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily unit operations, staffing and scheduling.
• Coordinate onboarding, staff education, and performance competency.
• Monitor budget and establish patient care standards with evidence-based practice.
