Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Heart 4 North Cardiac Surgical Progressive Care team. This full-time day shift role (7a-7p) focuses on unit operations, patient care quality, and leadership of the care team.

Qualified candidates will have an RN license, BLS and ACLS, an AS degree, and at least 2 years of hospital nursing experience. Sign-on bonus of $6000 is offered.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Hospital Nursing Experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Associate of Science Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager with unit operations.
• Work closely with direct care staff during shifts to deliver quality patient care.
• Serve as an expert clinical resource for the team.
• Facilitate admission, transfer and discharge flow.
• Take a lead role in implementing changes and improvements.
• Support and coach staff development and performance.
• Make shift-to-shift patient care assignments.
• Take on direct patient care assignments as needed.
