ChristianaCare’s Stroke Treatment & Recovery (STAR) unit in Newark, DE is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in clinical and administrative activities, ensuring high-quality care for stroke and medical patients.

The ANM will supervise staff, participate in hiring decisions, mentor team members, and lead performance improvement initiatives with a day/midnight rotation. This full-time role offers leadership growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Three years' acute care clinical experience required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Appropriate clinical certification required.

ChristianaCare is currently seeking an

Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)

for our 29-bed Stroke Treatment & Recovery (STAR) unit. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the department in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care. The STAR unit focuses on care of stroke patients and as well as medical patients.

Responsibilities

• :Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed.
• Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.
• Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.
• Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff.
• Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff.

Hourly Pay Range: $52.97 - $84.75This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
