Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Coast in Florida seeks an experienced Nursing Manager to lead and develop a hospital unit. You will recruit, coach, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and foster psychological safety along with ongoing staff education; Florida background screening applies to this role.

Qualifications

• RN required and licensed in Florida
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS preferred

• Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations.
• Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to speak up and contribute.
• Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes and a culture of safety, compassion, and learning.
• Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates and provide guidance.
• Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and accrediting bodies.
• Manages nursing staff schedules and budgets to ensure adequate coverage and financial targets.
• Assists in developing and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
