Job summary

BayCare Health System, Bartow Regional Medical Center, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg team as Assistant Nurse Manager. This leadership role supports the Nurse Manager in supervision, staffing, and patient care coordination.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, BLS certification, at least two years of acute care RN experience and one year of leadership experience. The position offers full-time hours, benefits, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required.
• RN license is required.
• RN Nursing Specialty certification is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare related field is required.
• 2 years of RN experience in acute care, post-acute, or sub-acute experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in care of a patient population with effective managerial skills.
• Support the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity while managing team member and patient care issues.
• Support ongoing team member performance appraisal, hiring, counseling and termination processes.
• Act as a role model and communicate organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Supporting the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity while managing team member and patient care issues.

• Acting as a role model for other team members and the communication of organizational information.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
